We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Payment Processor to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Payment Processor will be responsible for accurately processing payments to vendors, suppliers, and other entities, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
- Process payments accurately and timely using various payment methods, such as checks, electronic transfers, and online payment systems.
- Ensure proper approval and documentation of payments according to company policies.
- Resolve payment discrepancies and issues with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payments and transactions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement and finance teams, to ensure proper payment processes and resolve any payment-related inquiries.
- Monitor accounts payable aging reports and take appropriate actions to ensure timely payments and minimize late payment penalties.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial reporting and audits.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and changes in accounting regulations related to accounts payable processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data and adhere to data privacy regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding payment-related inquiries.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and payment processing systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing payments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
