JobTracks Caribbean is currently seeking an experienced Material Handler. A Material Handleris a professional who is responsible for moving goods around warehouses or other industrial sites. Material Handlers do this by using a forklift to unload deliveries from trucks and stack boxes for storage purposes throughout a warehouse and other industrial properties.

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:

• A Material Handler Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places

• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment by the Forklift operator

• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies

• Transport raw materials to production workstations

• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance

• Forklift operator Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs

• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

• Forklift operators maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

• Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them in assigned places

• Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment

• Identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies

• Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items by the Forklift operator

• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility under the Forklift operator

• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.

• Securing loads to the machine before transportation.

• Inspecting for damages to vehicles.

• Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs by the Forklift operator

• Forklift Operating and managing technical equipment.

• Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.

• Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.

• Forklift operator Identifying workplace safety hazards.

• Adhering to safety management standards.

• Adhering to production schedules.

Qualifications of Material Handler Position:

• Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to perform basic math.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships.

• An efficient individual with excellent time management skills.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Attention to detail.

• Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus.

• Previous warehouse experience.

• Prior experience as a forklift operator.

• Forklift or heavy machinery certification.

• Completion of forklift driving course, a plus.

• Valid driver's license.

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.

• Previous OSHA training is a plus.

• Hazardous materials training, as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $9.50 - $10.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
