- Payroll duties
- Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave(s) and/or modified work schedules.
- Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.
- Assists with leave administration process from start to end
- Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests
- Assists HR Manager in accurate and timely OSHA reporting and posting requirements.
- Follow HIPPA guidelines in regards to confidentiality
- Maintains knowledge of leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.
- Ensures accurate and timely EDI with vendors.
- Updates payroll-related SOPs and keeps all current.
- Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations, create interview notes and reports, collects supporting documents/evidence, and ensures timely and complete record-keeping
- Performs duties as assigned.
- Business level English minimum)
- Other languages (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant fields of HR, 5+ years of progressive experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with the applicant-tracking systems.
