The Sr. Marketing Project Lead plans, implements, and manages marketing programs that enhance the overall image of the Credit Union with a focus on strategic goals, sales, response rates, and brand management.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Personally, provides exceptional member service; uses Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
  2. Assists the Vice President (VP) of Marketing with the development of the annual marketing budget and plan.
  3. Works at a senior level within the department, demonstrating an advanced level of leadership, skill, and forward-thinking in all performed tasks.
  4. Takes lead to develop and implement all aspects of major campaigns including market-timed promotions; determines, documents, and manages project scope, goals, timelines, and milestones; delivers projects on time and within budget.
  5. Recommends and applies member information from the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to target audiences to achieve organizational and marketing objectives.
  6. Manages vendor relationships, including selection; negotiating project costs; and providing creative direction.
  7. Recommends programming needs related to campaign implementation and measurement, and oversees their development and implementation.
  8. Manages agency and freelance designers to create promotional and collateral pieces.
  9. Manages online content of the website, including design and copywriting.
  10. Develops and implements monthly branch merchandising plan.
  11. Coordinates and promotes educational workshops, sales events, member appreciation programs, and other Credit Union meetings.
  12. Prepare project timelines plus manage projects to establish budgets.
  13. Attain project milestones as scheduled and present final materials on time.
  14. Conduct all activities plus assigned projects within budget to the best quality possible.
  15. Ensure to bid, purchase, negotiate and manage all external vendor services for art, design, photography, etc.
  16. Develop, maintain and update comprehensive project files as well as documentation that includes instructions, charts, logging, tracking, etc.
  17. Monitor scheduling, planning, and resource management from accepted concept through delivery for allocated marketing projects and campaigns.
  18. Manages collateral inventory and supply levels.
  19. Requires local and regional travel; maintains a flexible schedule and the willingness/ability to work extended or non-traditional business hours as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
  20. Maintains regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  21. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), and ensures compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the area(s) of responsibility.
  22. Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by the Supervisor to achieve the goals of the department and the Credit Union.

Positions directly supervised : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position

Advanced experience working with customer data management systems; highly analytical thinking skills with the ability to put a plan into action; must be able to work cross-functionally up through senior leadership to drive initiatives; ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously; solid understanding of communication strategies and the importance of personalized member experiences; intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Marketo, HTML coding; keen awareness of and adherence to budgetary guidelines; ability to work with a range of people, meet a variety of demands, and work in a fast-paced, frequently-changing environment; ability to prioritize assignments related to projects in order to meet internal and external needs and deadlines; demonstrated skills in program management;excellent attention to detail while managing multiple tasks; strong organizational skills, work ethic, self-motivated and ability to work autonomously.Must have regular, reliable access to a vehicle and have a flexible schedule, as some events/promotions require early/late/weekend work.

Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Business or Management with a concentration in Marketing, Communications, or related field. Eight (8) years of directly related experience can be substituted for the degree. A minimum of seven (7)years of directly related marketing and/or communications experience is required; similar experience within a financial institution, preferably a bank or credit union, is highly preferred.

Compliance : Ability to maintain a proficient knowledge and compliance of all applicable rules and regulations under BSA/AML and OFAC regulations. This includes, but is not limited to Bank Secrecy Act; SAFE Act; Anti Money Laundering; Regulation CC; and Regulation Z. Maintain compliance with Federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.

Language Skills : Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, understand written and oral language, and the ability to effectively present information. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy/procedures.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to perform basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.
