We are seeking an Escrow Officer with a background in real estate to
join our team. This role could be based in Michigan, New York, or involve working remotely.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Escrow closings of both purchase, sale, and refinance transactions
Preparation of settlement statements and related closing documentation and funding of
transactions closed remotely
Review preliminary title report or commitment to verify vesting and legal description
Compare exceptions shown in title report or commitment with buyers', sellers' and lenders'
instructions for possible liens or encumbrances not authorized in escrow or lender instructions
Order beneficiary statements or demands, for insurance policies, deeds of trust, reconveyances
and other documents. Prepares or directs the preparation of authorized documents, ensuring
proper execution and recording of same
Prorate or direct the pro-ration of taxes, fire insurance, loan, brokers' commissions, and other
Request the issuance of title policies or other evidence of title
Open and monitor escrow accounts, transferring funds and communicating with involved parties
Record and file documents legally, as well as communicating with buyer and seller
Identify, verify, and calculate balances due and update statements and legal documents
Oversee paperwork associated with transactions, such as titles, insurance and others
Qualifications Required:
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with existing as well as new clients
Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment to handle all aspects of title support
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure on both single site transactions and portfolio projects
Detailed oriented, with analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Qualia an advantage

2+ years of experience as an escrow closer
Strong knowledge of real estate
