POSITION SUMMARY

  • Receives members and prospects in person and by telephone
  • Serves as a primary source to handle member inquires, requests or processing of new transactions
  • Conduct loan interviews with the ability to profile member needs and use good judgment on recommendation of credit union products and services

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
  • Provides excellent member service, carrying out the member service standards with each member
  • Provides assistance to new and existing members with regard to all Credit Union products and services (includes all deposit products and lending products available)
  • Processes loan requests, including applications and documentation, for Loan Officer approval
  • Assists with loan disbursals and notifies members when a loan is declined
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, regulations, credit granting criteria, documentation required for each loan type, including DMV and ancillary products
  • Cross-services additional loans and ancillary products to help meet member financial needs and
  • assigned cross-servicing goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides service that aligns with PVFCU's mission, vision, and corporate values

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Must have a broad knowledge of financial products and services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members, prospects, and fellow employees in writing, on the telephone, and face-to-face
  • Must be organized with an ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments in a fast-paced, independent manner
  • A high degree of accuracy is required
  • Must show willingness (and ability) to provide back-up support in other departments/branches
  • Strong analytical and cross-servicing skills a must
  • Must demonstrate flexibility in taking advantage of internal and external resources available
  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC with Windows-based programs
  • Familiarity with lending documentation preferred
  • Loan officer background and understanding of DMV regulations and documentation a plus
  • Must be bondable, dependable and punctual
