We're looking for a senior escrow officer who's looking for that next step of taking on a larger managerial role and adding operational management to their responsibilities. This job will require that the individual be licensed and experienced as a Texas-based Senior Escrow Officer (or Branch Manager), and be poised for this next managerial step in their career.

This is first and foremost a Senior Escrow Officer leadership role. The team will look to you for support on complicated questions and situations and will look to you to lead by example. It means that you bring experience, wisdom, and expertise as a Senior Escrow Officer, with a proven track record. It also means that you'll be expected to demonstrate the highest level of forward-thinking, conscientiousness, and attention to detail.
You will be the go-to person for support, backup, and guidance for the team. What You'll Be Doing
Your most critical responsibility will be as a backup Escrow Officer for the teams. You will need to be available to step in to lead teams on days when any of the EO's are on vacation or sick leave. You will not have your own files, so that you can be available to step in and lead the other teams whenever needed, providing back-up for the EO's when they are out, and proactively train staff as needed to ensure all team members are operating at a high level of efficiency.
You will also initially be learning our operations and training on internal activities to help you become efficient and effective in managing the operational and HR/people support needs of the company.
This role will eventually be responsible for managing the daily operations of the company and staff and be a go-to resource for the team.
You will develop and improve systems, processes, controls, and procedures that improve the efficiency of the firm and ensure excellent client service.
You'll develop training processes and materials to ensure new hires can ramp quickly and tenured staff can continuously improve and hone their skills.
In the support role, you'll provide Escrow Teams assistance with Closings (and Courtesy Closings as needed); and handle escalated client issues and concerns; and resolve issues that can cause closing delays.
To support newer staff, you will provide quality review of CD/settlement statements/closing documents
You'll report to the Managing Director and have a direct line of support as needed, but you will be the point person for all employee-related needs; with the Escrow Officers and the Office Manager reporting directly to you.
You will be responsible for reviewing timecards, updating changes in our internal systems, and overseeing the submittal of payroll to our bookkeeper.
You'll manage the company's relationships with third-party vendors.
- Must have a proven track record, with 7+ years experience as an Escrow Officer, working in high-volume offices.
- Must have a minimum of 2 continuous years at a Texas-based title company.
- Ideally, you will have some experience performing HR management functions such as recruiting, hiring, employee relations, and performance management.
- Hands-on, collaborative approach with demonstrated effectiveness in management
- Previous experience developing and implementing training processes/materials is a huge plus.
- Process-oriented with impeccable organizational and time management ability.
- Above average customer service skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
