We are looking for a Title Examiner to work for a Title Insurance company in Fort Worth, TX.
Provide accurate and complete title opinions to the Escrow Department personnel while supporting the Underwriting Counsel/Examination Department Manager in his/her efforts to achieve established Department goals and objectives.
Examine land titles to determine insurability and necessary legal and other requirements.
Draft legal opinions for use by Company personnel in closing real estate transactions.
Research the law, when necessary, to settle questions pertaining to land titles.
Advise Company personnel and resolve questions regarding title opinion and legal requirements.
Interpret muniments, statutes, regulations, court decisions, and new legislation to advise appropriate personnel of their effect on real estate transactions and title requirements.
Assist in the supervision and training of new employees in the Examination and Abstract Departments.
Assist in the direction and control of the activities of the Department.
Assist in company-wide training sessions, as needed.
Perform other duties as required.
Internal Confer with Underwriting Counsel, Examination Department Manager, Escrow Officers, Branch Managers, Abstracters, and other Company personnel to resolve problems, answer questions, secure information, etc.
1. Maintain continuing relationships with attorneys,underwriters' representatives, and appropriate regulatory personnel.
2. Participate in activities essential to Company external relationships, such as: civic, business and professional organizations, community projects, etc.
